Julia is 7 weeks today!

Hard to believe it has been 3 weeks since our last post! Alot has been going on I suppose. Julia is doing great- she is so alert, smiling, cooing and the past three nights sleeping 5-8 hours straight! We switched her to a organic soy formula so not sure if this is contributing to her sleeping so well at night? The Isomil soy formula she was on had sugar as an ingredient and the organic stuff does not, so were thinking this might be helping?! Why do they have to put sugar in formula anyway? The stuff is not cheap but if it helps her sleep through the night then it is so worth it! She is getting big too, as you can see from the pictures she is quite a handful in the boys laps. They just adore her, and can even play peek-a-boo with her, she laughs and you can tell she loves them just as much! She has been a joy especially during some difficult times with my Mom and Dad. My Mom has breast cancer again (the third time). She had surgery almost 2 weeks ago and removed the tumor and lymph nodes. She has stage 3 and will start chemo in a few weeks. She is recovering slowly from the surgery but is in good spirits. She will have further tests to see if there was any spreading so please keep her is your prayers that it did not metastasize. My Dad also started having health issues a week ago will have further tests this week to find out the underlying cause. I have been visiting with them in NOVA quite often, so it has left little time for anything else. Scott's mother was gracious enough to come out to help watch the kids so I could spend time with them. Now that my Mom is feeling better though she and my Dad have enjoyed seeing the boys and Julia, so we will be making the trip up there as much as possible. Thank goodness I am not working yet and Scott has Thursdays and Fridays off so we can help them out. Anyway, Julia is crying so gotta go, but I'll post more soon.

Julia is 4 weeks!

In some ways it has gone by fast and in other ways it seems like forever, especially when you are so sleep deprived. It will be nice when she is sleeping more than 6+ hours a night. She is still eating like a champ and every 3 hours! We've had a few nights where she has gone more than 5 hours but then last night it was every 3. The boys still love their sister except when she cries and they can't hear the t.v. :) They are trying to be helpful with her but they still can't get used to being quiet around her. Not sure they ever will? Anyway I still can't believe they will be starting Kindergarten in 4 weeks! They are very excited to ride the big boy bus with their friends. I will go back to work Sep 12 so it will be nice to have a little more time after they start. Here are some fun pics that Scott took. Enjoy!
